Network Analyzer (Reference: UTM Security with Fortinet)

Hello, Page 320 of the book has a section on additional fortianalyzer features. I' m specifically interested in the network analyzer. The book references 4.x firmware and so, I' m unable to find these advanced features in 5.x firmware. Has this functionality been removed from the Fortianalyzer? Thanks, Ash

A quick google showed me the book was published in 2012. I think some of the content there might need to be updated. I don' t have the book, could you please list the functionalities in 4.x that you could not find in 5.x firmware? LC

The book says that the network analyzer is hidden by default. To enable it, go to System -> Admin: Settings. Select " Show Network Analyzer" and click apply. The new feature appears under the " Tools" section. I have poked around 5.2.x and haven' t found the Network Analyzer functionality. And I haven' t found a reference to it in any of the 5.x.x or 5.2.x docs. Thanks, Ash

The feature (sniffing the network traffic) has been removed from 5.x.
