NSE8 certificate

Hello

I have passed the NSE7 certificate and managing to pass the NSE8 .

Since there is not too much information \ material on this certificate , and no material in the network security academy , I wanted to ask here :

- If anyone familiar with the material ?

- Which products are involved in the NSE8 exam ?

- Is it much difficult than the NSE7 exam ?

- Does anyone familiar with sites that give courses and material on this exam ?

NSE8 certified engineers , can you please share you experience at the NSE8 exam ?

Hi,

Since you have passed NSE7 ,  For NSE8 you need to pass 2 exam  written and Lab .

Wriiten u can appear in any of the Pearson VUE center .For Written , best material is NSE4 to NSE7 training available on Partner NSE institute .Soon after NSE 8 written u can plan for Lab .For NSE8 Lab u need to build and practice labs  .Its a 2 Days exam where u need to attempt 48 Tasks ..24 one day and 24 another day.

You should have very  good hands on below products

thank you ashik regarding the lab and the task , is it about troubleshooting problems or is it about designing and building networks ?

It's  a combination of both but I would  suggest talking to the folks.  Be warn of the "expiration"  to TBD.

Hi,

Its a more of designing the Network and Security infrastructure , in case of some issues you should know how to troubleshoot as well.

5.2 Lab is expiring and soon 5.6 lab will be out not sure .In 5.6 they are planning to add few more technology and products .So hurry up .

If you appear written in 5.2 ver it is valid for 2 years .

Once you pass the lab then only need to appear for written every 2 years to keep certification valid otherwise lab also will expire .

I have another question regarding the tasks.

As you said , it is a 48 tasks . But let say I didn't accomplish all the tasks , there might be some difficult to accomplish , in that case how they will calculated the final mark and if pass\fail ?

How many tasks do I need to accomplish to pass the exam ? all of them ?

This is not explained in the NSE_8_Certification_Public_Handbook file.

I don't know how they will calculate , Each section there will be pass or fail , No marks.Also no information how many tasks need to accomplish .

or those are just an external company who's not recognized by fortinet ?

has anyone tried there bootcamb ?
