Multiple OSPF Processes

I am running 3 MR4 and I need to run two OSPF processes in a single VDOM. I need to peer with two different routers in the same subnet, but I want to control the distribution of the routes. This would be similar to running two OSPF process on a Cisco like router with no VRFs and using a route-map to redistribute them. Is there a way to do this with a Fortigate? I' ve thought about creating two VDOMs with an interface in the same subnet with a vdom-link between them and using a policy to redistribute the routes, but that could get messy. Any ideas?

Wow, tough one ... And welcome to the forums :) I haven' t found a way yet to do anything this complex on a Fortigate. If you do figure it out though post here. That would make an interesting topic for a blog post :)

First of all I would move away from MR4, at least move to MR6 pref. MR7p6. MR4 is quite buggy.

Have you looked at this. If you want to control route distribution, you should really put them into two unique subnet and then place this other peer that you want to control routes in these two areas with simple distribution lists. i.e network 172.16.0.0 0.0.0.255 area 0 network 172.17.0.0 0.0.0.255 area 1 ( other router ) and the set distribution lists on that second area or better yet make it a stub area. The ABR in this case ( fortigate ) could summarize or do a host of other means to control roue-information population via summarize or range commands
