Monitoring Interface Up or Down

Hello guys. I wonder if it is possible to create a monitoring to check if an interface (in this case an internet link) gets down. And if that interface is down, send an email advising that the interface is down. Thank you and sorry for English.

Hi there!

I think this is not possible just with alertemail options.

You have to use another tool for monitoring the interfaces, like zabbix, nagios, a siem or a syslog with an alert system.

Yes you can do it with a the FAZ or almost any modern  NMS platform. You just need to  write matches and triggers for email. I did this in the past with  syslog-ng, nagios, and  FAZ.

Hi Ken, would you mind to share your settings/config in your faz? we are using 800C fos 5.6.x and faz 1000D 5.4.3
