Has anyone had any experience configuring a MikroTik router and FortiGate firewall to talk to each other with L2TP + IPSec ?
Here' s the curly part, the MikroTik router is behind an ADSL router and the ADSL router doesn' t appear to be passing ESP / IPSec packets.
I can get a L2TP tunnel established - is it possible to establish an IPSec link over this? or do the protocols interfere with each other?
To make matters worse I don' t have access to the MikroTik router (remote support) and neither of us have access to the ADSL router.
In the event that I must use L2TP on its own, if the MikroTik has a PPP assigned address of 192.168.82.1, (I forget how PPP works now), a LAN device behind the MikroTik should have a gateway address of which device? 192.168.82.1 or an IP address on the FortiGate?
