Migrating VDOM to Global

We have 3 VDOMs.  If I disable the use of VDOMs. Will all VDOM settings be lost?

Im not 100% sure, but I think all VDOM settings except the settings in "root" VDOM will be removed.

Will my admin configuration also me removed?

I think the configuration in Global will be merged with root, like admin-config.

At least this is the case in 5.4.1.

 

You better try it before you do anything in a live setup.

Bring a FortiVM up and running and try to see the behavior.

Good idea. I do not have a spare Fortigate.  I do not have FortiVM.
