Hi ,
Maybe you can help me, I have some question about FortiAuth:
1.- I have a 200D on production and I buy a 400E to replace it, I need to pass the configuration from the old to the new one, both devices have a same firmware version, v5.1.0 Build0086, but when I try to restore the configuration file the 400E give me an error: "Incompatible model" (obvious, you can say!), how I can resolve this? I have to reconfigure all from the beginning? (I hope not!).
2.- In case I have to reconfigure the FortiAuth from the beginnig, I need to export the FortiToken to import to the new device, question: what the option Export FTK hardware option do?: create a file an cancel all the fortitokens from the device?
hoping you can help me
Luis
Our support team has access to a tool that can convert FortiAuthenticator configuration backups between models, although I'm not 100% sure it has been updated it to a version that supports the 400E - if not, it may take slightly longer to process your request as they would need to escalate it.
When you have this converted backup and are ready to use the 400E in production, you should also ask our support team to transfer the tokens to the new serial number. Failing to do so probably wouldn't break any functionality for hardware tokens, but for mobile tokens, things like token provisioning, token transfer, and push notifications will not work properly without the formal transfer.
Regards,
Jeremy
