We have almost 195 switches in our domain and we need to migrate our switches to FortiLink Manager to continue to build out our network. The only information i can find online and when talking to consultants is that we need to manually migrate the switches. Any one know of a good way to do this without going in and manually migrating? This is a big project with plans for over 300 switches.

Hello,
We are still looking for someone to help you.
We will come back to you ASAP.
Hi,
I understand you have 300 standalone FortiSwitches that you’d like to transition to a managed configuration using FortiSwitch Manager.
If that’s the case, these FortiSwitches will need to be manually configured to enable management by FortiSwitch Manager. You can find guidance here: Getting Started with FortiSwitch Manager.
The first FortiSwitch (connecting to router) will require additional configuration steps compared to the switches connecting behind it. For details, refer to the section on "Connecting additional FortiSwitch units to the first FortiSwitch unit" in the above documentation.
The FortiSwitch management concept via FortiSwitch Manager is similar to FortiSwitches managed in L3 mode. Be aware of any limitations, which are outlined here: FortiLink Mode Over a Layer-3 Network
Given that these 300 FortiSwitches are likely distributed across different sites, I recommend coordinating with your local Fortinet SE or partner for a site-by-site migration plan.
