Maximum Limits of MAC address filtering for Wireless clients

For MAC-based filtering, please ensure the below points

  • What is the maximum limit of MAC addresses that can be added?
  • If we utilize the maximum limit of MAC address entry, is it to be cause any performance-related issues on the wireless controller (FGT) and FAP?
  • Is there any option to import bulk MAC addresses from FMG at once or to add multiple MAC addresses one by one?

Hello @ckkpos93

Have you checked the maximum values table of FortiGate that you are using?

https://docs.fortinet.com/max-value-table

I have randomly selected one firewall and a firmware version, and it shows system.wireless.mac-filter value to "0", which means that "Objects with no hard limit, such as objects limited by system memory."

You can check you firewall model and firmware version.

This technical document, would also be helpful.
