Maximum FortiAccessPoint and Fortigate

Hi,

We have a Fortigate 40C, and 8 X 25D Access points. We thought that this Fortigate have a max of 10 Access points, but the problem is that this is only when we use the AP's in bridge mode. We want also configure the Tunnel mode, and then we can only configure 5 Access points.

Can we bought more licenses for the Access points, or do we replace the Fortigate with a bigger one?

You need a bigger Fortigate, more access points means more CAPWAP processing on the controller side (especially in tunnel mode) which is why there are the limits for each model Fortigate.
