Mac VPN Install: Failed to connect to update server

Getting a timeout when I try to download the ForteClient VPN client on my Mac. I have the latest MacOS. I am an admin on this computer.

Is the download server offline?

+1 this thread.  I'm having the exact same issue.

I commented on a similar issue for FC VPN Mac installation recently on this forum when someone encountered "no update". Before suspecting anything on the download server side, you have to make sure your drive is clean without any trace of Fortinet something or FortiClient something. Once an installation failed, keep trying would almost never succeed with my experience. Just moving the FortiClient icon into the trashcan is not enough.

There are some articles available from Mac cleanup software providers to sell their products, which describe how you can try to clean up BEFORE buying their products. Just read it entirely and skip the software installation part.

Only after that, try installing it again.

This was a fresh install of ForteClient VPN...Install refused to connect to 96.45.33.106:80. Can anyone verify that address is up?

I am just trying to install FortiClient VPN, I don't have it already installed. Why does the non working FortiClientUpdate.app, which is inside FortiClientVPNOnlineInstaller_6.2.dmg reference "Update" when this is just a fresh install? I can find no other download.

Thanks for any help. We just a 5.7 earthquake here this morning and I want to connect to work.
