Hope someone can help.
I have a MacOS user who is struggling to connect to Forticlient VPN.
The steps taken to resolve this have been:
Upgrade to latest MacOS (Big Sur)
Install Latest Forticlient version
Permissions granted to following:
[ol]fcaptmon
[/ol] [ol]fctservctl
[/ol] [ol]fmon
[/ol] [ol]fmon2
[/ol] [ol]FortiClient
[/ol]
A reinstall has also been attempted several times of the latest Forticlient but the client just sits on "Connecting" and occasionally an error "cannot connect to VPN"
The user has a valid and up to date certificate as well but still no luck.

Hi @enable_user,
Did you try with Ethernet or WIFI? Also, you can export the FortiClient logs to see if is there any error from the FortiClient itself.

Minh
hi @enable_user.
Is there any percentage shown in while connecting before error. you can refer to this kb for refernce of different errors in ssl vpn : https://community.fortinet.com/t5/tkb/workflowpage/tkb-id/TKB20/article-id/785
Also please check if host check is enabled in ssl vpn portal.
Regards,
Rajan
So far what I have seen is that Forticlient version 6.4.x is best working for Mac. Rest OpenForti is another option.
