MSN blocked

I have checked the MSN option in the protection profile in order to get MSN usage stats. I have not checked any of teh block options, however the FG does block my login. Am I misunderstanding how this works? or is it a bug? FG60DSL MR3 Patch 7-Memopt Jon

Cruise into ' IM/P2P -> User -> Config' . Here is where you set up the options that take place if the Fortigate doesn' t know about your screen name yet. The default is ' Block' .

Well would you look at that, what a great option, I hadn' t even looked at that page. That is really thoughtful, and I love the way I was there as a user waiting to be allowed. First class function. Thanks RW

A little strange thing that happens in IM access control system : If i don' t enable the site " login.live.com" in content filter, the user can' t login in MSN, even if is enabled in the protection profile in the appropriate IM/P2P section (is in the category " Search Engines" ??!!!) It would seem that MSN Live Messenger use http (or https) for login on its network. Happens the same thing at someone else here? Regards from Italy :)
