MS-DTC

I have two servers (Internal server with 10.10.14.40) and DMZ (Live WebServer-192.168.10.2) I want to connect from Internal Server (VB Program) To DMZ Server ( SQL DB ) What I have done is : 1-I have installed MSTDC in both servers 2-Created policy from Internal to DMZ and enabled all services But still I can not connect to Sql DB ,is comming error in event viewer (for RPC Connection...etc) I search on the internet to open some ports for RPC 135 and MSDTC 5100 in fortigate to permit the connection between the servers but i don' t know how i open ports in fortigate and i don' t know it wil work or not any help ???

Thank you Mr ede_pfau So may be I could not add the port correctly way. Can you tell me how I add any new port or the configuration for add new portS ?? Thank You

??? We are talking about plain physical ports here - internal and DMZ. You configure ports in System>Network>Interfaces and basically give them an IP address and a network mask. Maybe you could post your interface config.

Finally I do it. The problem is I has to add it registry key for MSDTC on the both servers this registry for RPC to stablished connect to the remote server and create MSDTC ports in the fortigate . Thanks for all.

By the way, the policy DMZ->internal, any is bad. Removes the functionality of the DMZ. Remove this as soon as your issue has been resolved.
