Looking for Guidance on FCP_FGT_AD-7.4 Preparation

Hi everyone,

I’m currently preparing for the FCP_FGT_AD-7.4 exam and wanted to reach out to this community for some serious guidance. While I’ve gone through the official documentation and some training videos, I still feel there are gaps—especially when it comes to fully understanding advanced FortiGate features in real-world scenarios.

I’ve used the practice tests from Passexam_4_sure and it seems promising, but I’m wondering if there are other resources or strategies that you all would recommend to ensure I’m fully prepared.

For those who have taken and passed this exam:

  • How close was the exam to the official study materials?

  • Were there any particular topics or configurations that you wish you had studied more deeply?

  • Any tips for managing time during the exam?

Any advice or shared experiences would be hugely appreciated. I really want to make sure I’m covering all my bases before booking the exam.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Kevin_Brian ,

The FCP_FGT_AD-7.4 exam is generally close to the official study materials, but expect scenario-based questions that require applying concepts rather than just recalling facts. Focus extra on real-world configurations for advanced routing, security profiles, HA, SD-WAN, and deep FortiOS troubleshooting, as these often trip people up. Hands-on lab practice is key—set up a virtual FortiGate and replicate common enterprise setups. Time can be tight, so don’t get stuck on a single complex question; mark it and return later. Supplement official docs with the Fortinet NSE Training Institute labs, configuration guides, and community discussions to close any knowledge gaps.

If you have found a solution, please like and accept it to make it easily accessible to others.
