Looking for FortiWiFi 60D Firmware (Lab Use Only)

Hello everyone,

I recently picked up a FortiWiFi 60D from Goodwill for my personal home lab. I have the receipt and invoice from the purchase, and I am only planning to use this device for educational / lab purposes, not in production.

I reached out to Fortinet support, but since the device is already end-of-life, they informed me they cannot provide the firmware. Without it, the device cannot boot properly.

I am specifically looking for the following firmware image or any compatible image:

FWF_60D-v5.6.14-build1676-FORTINET.out

If anyone from the community has this firmware archived, I would be grateful if you could share it with me, or point me to a reliable source where I might be able to obtain it.

Personally, I don't think that using an older firmware on an unlicensed box will help with your labs. I would suggest to return this device since it is not working properly, and instead deploy a FortiGate VM (updated/licensed) with a permanent trial license.
