Logs of a device that has not purchased license

Hi,

I would like to know if a firewall (50B in my case) that was bought without any license, I could check the logs for trobleshooting reasons? Currently now I can just use the email feature to receive notifications, but I would like to check a simple traffic log and is always empty this feature in my fortigate manager.
