In my test environment, I migrated from FortiEMS client 7.2.2 to 7.4.4.
We deployed EMS on a Hyper-V VM.
After a few manual tests, we'll migrate the remaining endpoints to the Linux EMS server by changing the EMS DNS record.
How can I generate an overview of the EMS servers with endpoint connections/registrations?
Solved! Go to Solution.
well, if you are in the EMS 7.2.2 and you see the endpoint there and with Connections column green up arrow EMS, it usually means that it's connected to the local EMS.
you can view them in the GUI in All Endpoints menu, https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.2.2/ems-administration-guide/391289 or use the API from FNDN if you have access to export them.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't see anywhere in the GUI which endpoints are "linked" to which EMS server.
It also doesn't show up in an export.

Oh yeah. That's right.
Thanks.
(Just thinking out loud)
There will also be endpoints that haven't been migrated (yet) and are actually offline.
But as soon as they start up, they'll be migrated based on their DNS record, or else they'll show up as online in the 7.2.2 console.
Thanks funkylicious
you also have the option for the active connected endpoints to the old EMS to switch from the webUI, https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.2.2/ems-administration-guide/808854/migrating-to-an...
Yes.
I was aware of this.
I want to manually migrate the first endpoints using the "Switch EMS" option.
Then I'll test these endpoints, including VPN.
And if that goes well, we'll do the bulk migration based on DNS.
Thanks
