Limited country list in config wireless controller setting

Hello Community,

When SSH connected to the FortiWifi 80F with v7.2.3, I am attempting to change country code. I expected to have the countries listed here

https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.2.2/cli-reference/179620/config-wireless-controller-s...

However, only a subset of those countries are able to be set. Those countries are the following:

KY

DM

GU

HT

MH

AW

NI

MP

PW

PR

KN

US

VI

CA

Any thoughts as to why the full list of countries is not available?

Appreciate it

In order to set the correct country code, your hardware will have to correspond to your part of the world as well.

FAPs are denoted, for example, "FAP-223E-X" where X is the region-specific SKU suffix.

X=A, B, D, E; F; I; J, K, N, P, S, T, V, Y where

As there are different frequencies across the world which are available (for free) for WiFi, the hardware has to be adapted for different regions.

My guess is that depending on the hardware SKU suffix, you can only choose from a limited range of country IDs.
