Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to set a Signal Strength level so that when a WiFi client reaches that level, it tries to roam on the AP.
Example, I would like whenever the client reaches -66dBm, try to switch to an AP with a better signal, lower than -66dBm.
Is such a configuration possible?

The client will make a roaming decision and it's not trying to choose the best one all the time because that would cause flapping. Instead it hangs on to the original one as long as possible, in other words, it has set itself some worst tolerable limit upon which it will roam and as long as your 200-ft-away AP is good enough, it will not ditch it for a better one https://vidmate.bid/ .
Deveroso described the problem you are having correctly but I would still like to hear a good solution to the problem described. What I have done works some but being able to force a client to a different/closer AP when the signal is weak would be helpful! What I have setup is the AP handoff. This is an advanced feature you can turn on for your wireless network.
The three ways I have controlled AP Hand-Off settings are:
My solution is not ideal, but it is the best I have found so far. If someone has a better solution, I would love to hear it and if anyone has an answer to the weak signal problem that with the max connected devices would take care the problem very well.
Here is a link that might help explain what I mentioned.
