License expired product

I have a Fortigate 60B in my office. Due to End of Life of this product it wasn' t used in our prodution environment. I tried to use this UTM for External NATting to access my servers inside our campus from my home. But i wasn' t working. Will it work or Not ?

Basic firewalling will work no matter what the license status is. AV and IPS still will work but signatures are no longer updated.

And to add webfiltering will work but you, can' t use " categories" and you have no lookups for categorization of web traffic. In fact the fortigate warns you with a messages that says something to the effect, that ALL of your traffic could be blocked or something to that degree. So if you need UTM features, you should keep an active license. fwiw: If you let a unit slip out of license and renew license later, fortinet policy has been to back bill you up to 6 or 12months give or take.

6 months or the date of expiry, whichever is closer in time.
