Hi All,
Probably a silly question, I have 2 Fortigates at different sites. We have just been provisioned with an MPLS circuit, turns out its a layer 2 ethernet. I assumed I could just IP an interface at each end on the fortigates and they could ping each other?
Though I cant get this to work. am I missing something?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
If it is truly layer 2, then it would be like a big old virtual switch and that should be all you need to do. If I was in your shoes, I would get together with your ISP to make sure that they configured it correctly. I have seen a high rate of initial configuration failures with these types of circuits. You would think the ISPs have their stuff together at this point in time, but that is not always the case.

Thanks, always good to get a sanity check :)
Hello,
You were able to make the connection. I have the same problem and no communication.
Thanks in advance.
