Good Morning,
As service provider we've a product called Enterprise Guest WiFi, which is typically used for aggregating WiFi traffic from hotspots to a centralized gateway. This solution enables
Customer Premises Equipment (FortiGate and AP's) to bridge the Layer 2 traffic from an end host to an aggregation gateway with the correct option82 to provide authentication with external service portal.
The encapsulated traffic consists of Ethernet frames with an L2TPv3 header, creating a virtual tunnel.
Do you have a idea about :
1 - This is supported by Fortinet ?
2 - If yes, do you have the configuration roadmap ?
thanks for the support

Hello,
We are still looking for an answer to your question.
We will come back to you ASAP.
FortiGate itself doesn't support L2TPv3 in any way, as far as I am aware (L2 tunelling is implemented via VXLAN), but it looks like FortiAPs can be configured to tunnel traffic in L2TPv3 to another wireless access gateway. Links below:
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/7.2.7/cli-reference/151620/config-wireless-controller-v... (set primary-wag-profile ... , set secondary-wag-profile ... )
But please don't ask me for more info, I just found it. :)
