Is there a way to use an variable referring the hostname on FortiAnalyzer output profile?

Hello,

I'm scheduling some reports for my customer and the report filename comes with the serial number.

I'd like to know if anyone was able to put the hostname on the Output Profile for the e-mail subject comes with the hostname.

Regards,

hi,

is it a predefined report ? if so, which one ?

L.E. after re-reading your ask, i've noticed that you want the hostname in the output profile/mail that is being sent to the user. is that the hostname of the device or FAZ that you need ?

Hi,

Thanks for your time!

I want the hostname of the device.

havent tried it but what you can do is create an output profile with different subject values/hostnames if the client dont want to find this info in the report.

although, if i recall correctly the generated reported attached in the email has the device name and vdom

Yes, it's possible, but I'm scheduling 6 different reports for 15 sites, so I have to make 90 output profile, this is why I was looking for the variable to be used on subject.

The report file uses the serial number instead of hostname. At the end of each report, I configured the device list, that lists just 1 FortiGate. The drawback is that customer has to open the file to know which FortiGate is.

hmm, for me when i scheduled and receive the email with the IPS Report template, i get the file with ReportName-FirewallName[VDOM] since i have the Generate separate report per device option enabled for multiple devices/vdoms in them but no serial number.

what version of FAZ are you using and what's the report in question, if its a predefined one ?

FAZ 7.4.5, yes the report is predefined one.
