Interface name change

Hello, I have to setup 2 FG110C and i would like to change the interfaces name. By default they have the name " port1" " port2" ... I would like something like " port1" --> " dmz1" I tried the following command in CLI: conf sys int rename port1 to dmz1 And i got the following error message: Can not rename a static table! Command fail. Return code -61 Im probably missing something but i dont see what is wrong. Any idea would be great Thanks.

Interface names cannot be renamed (' static' ). You may use - an alias (set alias ' dmz1' ) in the policy table, port1 will show up as ' port1 (dmz1)' or - create a zone with one port only (System/network, tab Zone) From definition on, ' port1' won' t be available anymore as an interface name. Use ' dmz1' instead. Of course, you' ll have to rewrite the policies concerning ' port1' .

addendum: you can only select the interface if it is not used anywhere at that moment. So, no policies, no VPN interfaces as sub-interfaces etc.

No static routes, or address entities tied to the interfaces...
