Import List of Sites

Hi all, Is it possible to import a list of URL' s into a URL filtering policy? Also - can the FG resolve host-names and URL' s or do all URL filtering policies need to be created using IP addresses only? PP

You can use this online tool and apply a URL List to a local category (and change this category to allow or deny as you need): http://camerabob.dyndns.org:5190/Fortigate/urlfilter.cgi For rating URL and IP, select the option " Rate URLs by Domain and IP Address" on WebFilter Profile -> Advanced Regards, Paulo Raponi

Is custom rating really a preferred method to block instead of URLFilters. config webfilter urlfilter ?

Wow, that is pretty cool. I would simply do a search/replace in wordpad to effectively do that. This makes it much simpler. Bookmarked for future use!

You can use both IP Addresses and URLs. URLs is a preferred method to do this. Just remember to use correct Wildcard & RegEx Syntax to block what you want
