Hi All,
I'm pretty new to Fortigate's and i'm troubleshooting an issue.
The Fortigate has a VDOM named 'Client', and i am unable to access TACACS, updates, etc.. from the Client VDOM.
I have done a little research and it appears that i within the Global VDOM, i need to change the Switch Management from root to Client.
What is the impact of making this change. Is there a risk that i could lose https access to the management interface of the Firewall?
Thanks
K

Well, you have to figure out why the Client VDOM can't get to those resources first before considering changing management vdom to it.
About the management vdom, my simple google search "fortinet management vdom" found Ken's (emnoc) blog. It does system-wide jobs. It doesn't matter much if it's root or not. As long as it can get to those resources in the blog, moving shouldn't cause any issues.
I meant to attach the link to the blog. Sorry.
