Hi guys
I have a problem on a FORTIGATE 60C with FORTIOS 5.2.13. (i know, its old)
My new ISP public address given by DHCP is for example
123.123.123.44/32 (why not !)
But the gateway DHCP given address is not on the same subnet and it ending with 0:
132.132.132.0
The gateway seem not recognized by the FORTIGATE.
Is there a way to force fortigate to accept this gateway ?
Many thanks for your replies
Regards
Ending with '0' is ok as long as it's routable in the subnet. So the pulled IP and subnet have to be like 132.132.128.1/17 then 132.132.132.0 can be the GW. You need to ask your ISP why. It wouldn't work with any other routers. Check with ISP's router that they must have provided you to see what it would get.
Toshi
