IPv6 stateless config and DNS

Hi All

We've managed to get IPv6 dual stack working through our Fortigate and we've setup stateless configuration for clients.

However, the stateless config doesn't set the DNS for the client.

I can't seem to find any info on how to fix this. Any one solved this?

You can't set DNS or other DHCP entires via stateless ( aka SLAAC  it supports no DNS functions ) but you can run SLAAC and setup others & manage  for DHCPv6.  This tell a ipv6 node to use more means for aquiring DNS/NETBIOS/DOMAIN info.

In general your ipv4 dns-servers should work and you can query A or AAAA records regardless if your a ipv4 or ipv6 dns-query.
