Hello @ds2

You can download the VPN only client on the following link, after then you need to shutdown the forticlient from the system tray then you would be able to uninstall the forticlient from the control panel.

https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads#vpn

Note : If the forticlient services will be running, it won't let you to uninstall it so make sure you shut the forticlient from the system tray first.

Hello @ds2

Looks like you are using full version of forticlient, EMS is mandatory for that, Else your VPN will stop working 30 days. So from the support download the VPN only agent, if you just want to use it for VPN.

Thanks

Can you tell me how to get to the VPN only version?

When I click on VPN only it always goes to the full version for download.

Thanks

Hello @ds2

Indeed you can find the free version of the FortiClient VPN here :

https://links.fortinet.com/forticlient/win/vpnagent

https://links.fortinet.com/forticlient/mac/vpnagent

https://links.fortinet.com/forticlient/deb/vpnagent

You will be able to setup any SSL or IPsec VPN with the free FortiClient.
