Greetings,
How can I open a range of ports through the firewall to be used by a number of computers on my internal network? Port forwarding will not work for me in this case. Thankyou.

Welcome to the forums.
When you create a service, you define a range of ports to be used. You create the ports in the service, then use the service in the policy.
I hope that's what you were after...
If you give an example, we may be able to hone in more closely.

I have created a Service with the required TCP ports. Additionally, I have created an IPV4 policy that includes that newly defined service - wan1-lan. Still not working. ;-(
What is the source port range? It should be 0-65535.

It was in the top place. I figured it out. The interfaces needed to be switched in the policy (lan/wan1). thanks.
Does the Policy-Rule on the top place?
I mean is it the first entry in all of the rules.
