I got two fortigate at diffirent locations. Both have a single wan ip.
Site 1 wan ip: x.x.x.x
Site 2 wan ip: y.y.y.y
Other interfaces on fortigates will be used for internal network.
I want to configure ha these two fortigates over wan interfaces. How can i do this?

Hi @mmorcali ,
Is there any reason why you want to configure 2 FGT devices in different locations for HA?
Hi
It is required. We have 2 different locations and 2 fortigates. These are requested to work in ha mode.
Hi @mmorcali ,
I don't think it's possible. The most important thing is, how can the HA heartbeat interface(s) talk to each other to keep the cluster alive?
Given that this is a private network and ha heartbeat interfaces can talk to each other to keep the cluster alive, is there still a way to do ha?
Yes, just use the regular HA configuration.
But these two devices are on different networks and their static routes are different. When Ha synchronises and sends the route information on the primary device to the secondary device, default route of the secondary device will be changed and it will lose access to the primary device. Is there any way to fix this?
Regards
