How Domain is resolved while connecting SSLVPN

Dear Forum Members,

I am confusion with SSLVPN fundamentals. While I am connecting SSLVPN then it disables Windows DNS Client service. 

i have not allowed SSLVPN Clients to reach my internet DNS server (Not allowed traffic from SSL CLient --> DNS Server). Still when ping/browse any internal website using domain name, it's getting resolved. But when checking with NSLOOKUP then MY DNS server is not reachable and even not resolving.

I just want to know that how my Domain name is being resolved if i have not allowed traffic from SSLVPNCLIENT to DNS Server.
