Hostname instead of Source IP

In my log, in the source column I see an IP and a hostname like such 10.171.1.1 (FortiPC.fortinet.com). But I can't search by hostname in the FortiGate and when I review these logs in FortiAnalyzer the hostnames aren't there, just IP. Anyone know if there is a way to have the Source default to hostname and only display IP when a hostname is not assigned? I do have the correct DNS settings on the Fortigate. I have a Fortinet 600C running 5.0 patch 8.
