Help Button ...after upgrade to 5.2.0

Upgraded from 5.0.7 to 5.2.0 a few weeks ago. Firewall seems to be running OK. The Help http://support.fortinet.com/forum/micons/m5.gif button used to take the user to information in the manual covering the settings, configuration, etc. on the GUI. After upgrading to 5.2.0 the manual seems out of date with the GUI. Is it necessary to update the link to a newer version of the manual or is the manual not quite up to date with the new 5.2.0 changes? Using FortiWiFi 60D, 5.2.0 build 0589 Thanks!

You shouldnt have to do anything...*shouldnt* that is. :) Take note of the URL you get when you click on help, does it look like its pointing to 5.2 material? It could also be the docs team hasnt had a chance to update that particular section, if you could give an example of where it doesnt seem updated that would be very useful. If I go into say the " Policy" section, here' s the link that gets generated which is for 5.2. http://docs-legacy.fortinet.com/fos50hlp/52/index.html#page/FortiOS%25205.2%2520Help/policies.075.01.html

Thanks for your help. The URL looks the same as the one you listed. So from this I presume it is linked to the correct document. The content just seems to not match the GUI. For example, if I navigate to Security Profiles/Application Control and view the GUI, then click the Help button the document does not seem to match the GUI. Another example, if I go to System/FortiView/Sources or System/FortiView/Applications and click the Help button manual opens to a blank page.

Hm unless it' s browser related Im not encountering that with app control, I get the " Adding applications to an application sensor" .

Good idea to check the browser factor. I did just click the Help button from the same page on the GUI and the content of the page that opens from the manual is blank except for the gray Fortinet logo at the top, the top menu bar, and the left side navigation index.

I' ve just checked the help button on my FortiWifi 60D. Menue: Wifi Controller --> Help Ok VPN --> Link seems wrong (http://docs-legacy.fortinet.com/fos50hlp/52/index.html#page/connect/splash.html) Antivirus --> works Policy-IPv4 --> works Router --> works It seems, that only very few links are bad. Hopefully that little problem will be solved with 5.2.1 Regards, Sebastian
