Hello Fortinet community.
I have a question regarding management of wireless access points.
I have two Fortigates 601F in cluster with HA.
They will be used as internal firewalls and WLC controllers.
I am not able to find the Heat map feature on the Fortigates 601F.
I did read about Wireless Manager (FortiWLM) where this feature is covered.
My question is can I manage the wireless part of Fortigate 601F from FortiWLM and reaching the HEAT MAP feature?
Also FortiWLM could be deployed as virtual machine?
I am not sure FortiWLM supports Fortigate 601f and fap231f access points.
I did check the web interface of Fortigate 601F but I didn't find anything about HEAT MAP feature.
Could you please share your opinion regarding Fortigate 601F, fap231f and availability of HEAT MAP feature in this combination?
Thank you in advance.
Best Regards.

Thanks,
WiFi Location Map is a feature on FortiOS lets you import custom maps or floor layouts and then position FortiAP devices on the map. Wifi Maps display the FortiAP devices' real-time state and warnings on the map. This function provides a visual representation of the position and state of each FortiAP unit on the map. I hope this serves your requirements.

Or else, Wireless Manager (FortiWLM) should help you in deploying Network Heat Maps, a visualization feature on the dashboard that allows you to check the range and efficiency of APs in the wireless network.

Thank you for the detailed information.
But could you please confirm that with Fortigate 601F and fap231f I could use FortiWLM Virtual appliance?
