HA between different models (500E VS 501E)

I have Fortigate 500E, and I am planning to purchase the new Fortigate 501E

So Can I make the HA between these to models?

in principe not, the hardware has to be the same and 501 has a harddisk while 500 doesnt.

you might be able to ignore this with the option in the article below though im not 100% sure, check with support

Hi,

the requirements for a HA are to have the same: -Firmware -Hardware model -Fortiguard, Forticloud and Forticlient licenses -Hard drive capacity and partitions -Operating mode.

Feel free to open case to support (it is included with the equipment), but in my opinion it is not possible.
