HA active/passive and reboot

What happens if you have an active passive HA and in the web GUI select a reboot? Do they both reboot or just the master? If just the master, then does it come back up as slave?

I can only speak about A-A. . . but in that case, only the primary/master reboots. If you want a " full" reboot, you need to reboot twice to get both units. And yes, the master comes back as a slave after the reboot. My guess is that an Active-passive is similar. Bill

Via gui reboot of Fortigate in a cluster reboots the master. Depending on your settings of the HA cluster, the master will come back as master in that case you have 2 HA failovers. By default the rebooted master will come back as slave. Unless you have set override enable via the CLI. Regards, Eric
