HA/Cluster Supported Users

Hi Pals,

Scenario: FG100E can support 100 concurrent users. For HA/Clustering setup, let's say for example I have FG100E then configured as A-A HA, does it increase the number of supported users? Would it be 200 concurrent users in total? Thanks.

Regards,

Kulas

hi,

you forgot to mention what limit you are referring to: SSLVPN users? local users?

As for SSL VPN, the Product Matrix lists 500 concurrent users, recommended.

Second question, does HA A-A double all performance metrics?  No.

Certain tasks are only handled by the master unit, like session setup, IPSec tunnels and others. Some tasks like AV or IPS scanning will be distributed to secondary units. But even then, expect some performance loss due to overhead. IMHO I would expect like 40-50% increase in performance in a normal environment.

Hello Kulas,

No, the number of supported users still the same, as the ha cluster acts like its only one device.
