Hi everyone
Do you know what the option guest sponsor does? Does it do what I think it does i.e. a guest registers and enters an employees email address. The employee then receives the credentials via email to pass onto the guest?
The documentation mentions it as an option but doesn't actually say what it does.
Any help appreciated.
As far as I know it's just a "useless" attribute you can give the users to appear in the log
I set up a guest network for a customer and told them to write the name of the person who created the Guest Account as Sponsor so they can track "who gave guestX the credentials"
Is there any way for me to have a guest who is authenticated or approved by a member of staff (not necessarily IT) for each guest? e.g. Guest connects to guest ssid, enters their details. Request sent to employee(s) and is approved?
Not that I am aware of.
AFAIK users need to be created beforehand. You could use an external Captive Portal though.
