General firewall products - not sure what is good.

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my firewall and am considering the 60F model. Is this a good choice?

Additionally, I would like to know if this firewall can perform the following tasks:

Allowing or blocking specific URLs or IP addresses, is this possible with firewall.

Assigning these permissions to specific LAN IP addresses to control who can and can't access certain websites.

Also I'm getting a 2gig fiber and not sure if this firewall will allow me to access that type of speed.

Also, I'm not looking to break the bank, but not looking to get anything that isn't worth getting. If you may have a recommendation of another firewall, please provide me that.  Thank you in advance everything that provides me any inputs.

Hello @ACCOTEQ ,

You can do everything as you mentioned with FortiGate firewalls. But 60F is a small business product. You say I need a 2gig port on the firewall but 60F does not meet your request.

If you want a 10Gig fiber connection you can look at a minimum 90G or 200F models.

You can review datasheets about related models on these links.

Thank you!

If I purchase the equipment from a company that is going out of business, will I encounter any issues when I try to activate it?

Hello @ACCOTEQ ,

Yes, you can activate the firewall if you get second hand.

You can review this document about that.

Also I read that 60f can handle Firewall Throughput 10.0 Gbps, so do I have to spend the money on a 90G or 200F?

Hello @ACCOTEQ ,

You are right 60F can handle 10 gbit traffic. But there is no 10gbit interface on that. Because of that i suggested 90G or 200F.
