I have a number of FG200D that are managed by a true OOBM network connected to the dedicated management interface. I have found that I can not set the management ip as the source address for ntp, syslog, netflow, etc...using any FORTIOS (5.2.7, 5.4.1, 5.4.4, 5.4.5) manually. I get a "node_check_object fail!" error when I attempt to do so.
I CAN upload a configuration with the source ip of the mgmt interface set and the FG200D takes" the config however, the services cannot "connect" to the appropriate servers (ntp, netflow, syslog) and do not "function". The ntp service reports the ntp server is unreachable, which is strange since I am connecting to the fortinet over the OOBM network via the mgmt interface from the same subnet those servers are on...
Has anyone run across this and is there a valid fix?
