Fortiweb scripting: how to automate several repetitive tasks?

Hello guys.

Quick question about fortiweb: can it interpret any script flavor? I've read somewhere that FortiManager supports TCL scripting, but haven't found anything related with FortiWeb.

So, if I need to recreate lots of similar objects (ex.: similar profiles), how can I automate that task?

You should be able to do this via CLI script.

Fortiweb does not support native scripting. You have 2 options as I see:

• Use Fortiweb REST API with any local scripting you know to use, apiDoc: FortiWeb 6.2.2 RESTful API Reference - 1.0.0 (fortinet.com)
• Or automate creating needed configs offline with some script creating CLI commands in bulk which you then copy&paste into Fortiweb CLI.
