Fortiweb blank admin mgt page

Hello!

We have a problem with Fortiweb 7.0.6: when logging in over the https and AD-authentication to manage the device, the browser shows only blank page. I've tried to log in from another server and using in-private mode, also using another browser, nothing helps. My user account was recently added. Older users can log in and see the admin page successfully. The secondary Fortiweb acts the same way. I can log in via ssh. I even disabled http and https access methods on the management port temporarily but that didn't help: when I put them back and connect with https, log in, still blank page.

I wanted to kill the admin httpsd process but how to identify that one? Since this is a web server serving many webpages, I don't want to kill all the httpsd processes, only the one that serves the admin log in.

In FortiWeb 7.0.9 release notes, there is a resolved issue:

0941239    Blank page after successful login from remote server

Well I'm not sure this is the same issue you are facing because they didn't give more details. But I think it is always good idea to patch your FortiWeb.

Hello

Do you mean it affects only AD authenticated users? Did you try with other admin profile?

Yes. I tried with local admin account and it works with this one. The profile is the same for all of them, also the trusted hosts is the same.

Thank you for this information. I am not the main administrator of this device so I haven't dug into all those firmware-related issues and details but I suspected that is was a firmware issue.

The other question remains: restarting httpsd process which deals with the admin webui only, is there a way to find that pid? Or, since the issue is with remote server authentication, maybe some other process needs to be restarted? In the process list I didn't see any related to the authentication though, at least by the name.

I didn't do that before, but in case you don't find it then just reboot the VM in maintenance window.

Meanwhile I suggest to check the attached document, in may help you check your LDAP configuration.

If it seems ok then try click "Test LDAP" to check you are well authenticated, just in case.
