Hi,
I am trying to connect my Fortiweb Manager to a new Fortiweb installed at a client.
The two devices see each other, the local user created on the customer's fwb dedicated to hookup is ok; but on "onborading" I get this error:
Failed to connect to FWB device
Is it possible that this error is caused by the fact that the fortiweb in the client home has not yet been licensed ?
Thanks

Hello there:
"Failed to connect to FWB device" error message occurs when FortiwebManager cannot SSH connect the fortiweb device
Can you please check these ?
1/ port22 is allowed inbound in fortiweb device's security group;
2/ the FortiwebManager's IP address is allowed inbound in fortiweb device's security group;
3/ "SSH" service is selected on fortiweb device's port's configuration;
4/ a route between the FortiwebManager and foritweb device
Hope that helps!!
Hi @ssudhakar ,
For the 4 points you mentioned I confirm that everything is ok, I have other devices hooked to my Fortiwebmanager or verified also local user with which I hook the two devices and it is ok.
I would not like it to fail me because momentarily this Fortiweb in client house is not covered by license.
Thank

Will follow update as we have opened ticket to Fortinet support
