Fortiswitch Issue

I recently deployed 18 440EFPOE to a site. One switch out of all of them. One is problematic which has occurred once a week since deployment (November 2023).

What happens is the switch drops ping and all management interfaces (SSH, Console and HTTPS).

The switches are standalone right now until I replace the distribution stacks in the coming weeks which will then utilize Fortilink. Awaiting the arrival of the 424E Fiber switches to arrive.

Rebooting the switch fixes the problem. Its on 7.2.3 as are all the others and same configurations at the other 17 switches.

Any ideas?

• When you say once a week, what happens exactly in your network at that time?
• Is there huge traffic handled by this switch at that time?
• Is there QoS configured on this switch

Are the hosts connected on this switch also affected by this behavior or only the management traffic?

When you say you loose Console access, are you referring access through the serial port when you connect directly to the switch?
