Fortiswitch 224B Linked to Fortigate 60D

Hello all,

I have been testing this and cannot seem to get it.

I have a Fortswitch 224B and a Fortigate 60D that I was going to try and set up with Fortilink so I can config the switch through one GUI with the FW.

 I configure an interface and IP on the FW dedicated to Fortiswitch but under Switch Controller it just sits there spinning saying "scanning.... "

The switch I know is old and the firmware does not go high enough for the recommended on the link above for the 60D but before tossing in the towel wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone has gotten this to work.
