Fortinet Renewal

Is it possible to renew a Fortinet (UTP) for 6 months? If not can I move my renewal to a new similar unit when it is purchased in 6 months?

Yes, that's possible. This contract type is called "co-term", short for "co-terminus".

You can have contract duration specified in days, for instance, to terminate a number of contracts on the exact same date for ease of administration. Hence the name.

Ask your FGT partner to send you an offer. Compared to regular contracts based on years a co-term might be 2-3 % more expensive.

Second question: you can transfer a contract's remaining duration from one FGT to a similar FGT (!) if the new FGT is purchased as a direct replacement. This would be within the "Trade-In" program. FTNT will grant you a whopping discount on Trade-In units, like, a lot. Ask your FTNT dealer about it.
