Fortinet FG-3700D Value

Hi all, I've got the opportunity to purchase a new sealed Fortinet FG-3700D from a liquidation sale and wanted to get an idea on its value, looking on eBay some are listed for $8k and others sold for $50-900 so is it purely a licence thing?

Roughly what would you pay for one of these?

FTNT stopped selling 3700D back in 2022. And its EOS(End of Support) date is set on 2027-04-16. You wouldn't be able to renew any license/support after 2026-04-16.
The price deference you're seeing is probably based on how much the seller spent to acquire the devices and when acquired. Unless you have immediate need for that size (quite huge and highend when it was released 12 years ago) and planning to decommission it in 6 months, I wouldn't buy it for production.
If it's your LAB equipment, I would recommend much smaller devices but more current models. The D-series hardware has 3 generations older technologies while the latest is G-series.
To me it's not worth even $10 since I don't have any use even if I have it.
