Hello All, i try to use proxy ONLY for the Fortinet Client on Windows.
I used this XML config (from docu).
<proxy>
<update>0</update>
<fail_over_to_fdn>0</fail_over_to_fdn>
<online_scep>1</online_scep>
<virus_submission>0</virus_submission>
<type>http</type>
<address>myproxy</address>
<port>3299</port>
<username></username>
<password></password>
</proxy>
BUT still the Fortinet Client connecting without Proxy.
I also installed the newest Free client 7.2.4.0972_x64
Using the proxy in Windows network settings is working, means VPN via proxy is working.
Any Idea why FortinNet client ignores the proxy from the configuration?
Thx and rg A.

From what I can tell, the documentation seems to state that this proxy config is not for the actual VPN connection, and is instead for the FortiClient to do updates, etc. See this document: https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.2.4/xml-reference-guide/179671/proxy-settings
